Training ** Encouragement ** Partnership – Sandi Dennis

Allow me to introduce you to Sandi Dennis. Currently she is a para-legal with a high visibility downtown Portland Law firm. About a year ago she graduated from the University of Portland with an MBA in Microfinace. As is not uncommon in today's circumstances, she is unable to find a meaningful job in her chosen avocation. So, she has decided to pursue her dream of helping others through Microcredit Empowerment.

On November 4th, Sandi is leaving for six months in Africa. During this time she will be visiting at least four of the five countries where the MEF initiative is working. Living in the villages among GSM associates, clients and the MEF Teams her trip has five primary objectives:

  1. Serve the Lord by serving others.
  2. Train the MEF Loan Committees on techniques to best manage the program
  3. Train the clients she meets on basic business fundamentals and how to make this businesses prosper.
  4. Meet with other, more established Microfinance Institutions to develop partnerships.
  5. Solidify her own experience and resume so that she may return to seek a solid career Microfinance.

All of this she is doing at her own expense. Depleting her long earned savings, she is financing this venture through her personal reserves. If you would like to assist Sandi in helping cover some of her expenses in this amazing, sacrificial, caring endeavor, you may send a donation to GSM to help her defray some of her costs.

Check back monthly and we will be posting Sandi's personal updates from what she is seeing, teaching, learning and experiencing on this mission.
